Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Interior Operations Manager to lead and manage the complete operational lifecycle of interior projects—from project handover and procurement to production, site execution, installation, quality control, and final handover.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in residential interiors, modular furniture, project execution, vendor management, production coordination, site operations, and team leadership.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can build accountable teams, improve operational processes, control costs, resolve project bottlenecks, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Project Execution

Manage the complete operational lifecycle of multiple interior projects.
Take ownership of projects after sales/design handover through final completion.
Coordinate between Sales, Design, Procurement, Production, Project Management, Site, and Installation teams.
Establish project execution plans, milestones, and operational priorities.
Monitor project progress and resolve operational bottlenecks.
Ensure projects are delivered according to approved designs, BOQs, timelines, and quality standards.

Team Leadership & Management

Lead and manage Project Managers, Site Supervisors, Interior Designers, Production Teams, Installation Teams, and other operational staff.
Allocate manpower based on project requirements and workload.
Set clear responsibilities, targets, and performance expectations.
Conduct regular operational reviews and performance meetings.
Train, mentor, and develop team members.
Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and timely execution.

Procurement & Vendor Management

Coordinate with Purchase and Procurement teams for timely material availability.
Manage vendors, contractors, carpenters, installers, and service partners.
Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
Negotiate with vendors where required.
Develop a reliable vendor network and ensure operational continuity.

Production & Manufacturing Coordination

Coordinate with the production team for timely manufacturing of modular furniture.
Monitor production schedules against project delivery requirements.
Ensure production follows approved drawings and specifications.
Coordinate material planning and production priorities.
Reduce production delays, wastage, rework, and quality issues.

Site & Installation Operations

Monitor site execution and installation activities across projects.
Ensure civil, electrical, plumbing, false ceiling, flooring, carpentry, modular furniture, and finishing work is properly coordinated.
Ensure site teams have required materials, manpower, and drawings.
Resolve site-level operational issues quickly.
Maintain site discipline, safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.

Quality Control

Establish and maintain project quality standards.
Conduct regular project quality reviews.
Ensure execution matches approved designs and specifications.
Identify recurring quality issues and implement corrective measures.
Reduce rework, material wastage, installation errors, and customer complaints.

Timeline & Delivery Management

Monitor project schedules and critical milestones.
Track production, dispatch, installation, and handover timelines.
Identify potential delays before they affect project delivery.
Develop recovery plans for delayed projects.
Ensure timely project completion and handover.

Cost & Operational Control

Monitor operational and project-related costs.
Control labour costs, material wastage, rework, and unnecessary expenses.
Track project profitability and operational efficiency.
Implement SOPs and processes to improve productivity.
Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs without compromising quality.

Client & Escalation Management

Support Project Managers in handling important client escalations.
Participate in critical client meetings when required.
Ensure customer concerns are addressed within defined timelines.
Coordinate internally to resolve operational issues.
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction throughout project execution.

MIS & Reporting

Maintain operational dashboards and project MIS.
Review project-wise progress, costs, manpower, material status, and timelines.
Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports for management.
Track KPIs and identify areas requiring corrective action.
Present operational performance and key risks to senior management.

Qualification

Bachelor's/Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Operations, or a related field.
Relevant practical experience and leadership capability will be given significant importance.
