Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Interior Engineer with a strong foundation in Interior Designing and hands-on expertise in AutoCAD. The role involves detailed design development, coordination with project teams, and execution support for interior projects, ensuring alignment with design intent, technical specifications, and site requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed interior drawings including layouts, working drawings, joinery details, elevations, and sections using AutoCAD
- Translate design concepts into accurate construction and shop drawings
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, contractors, and vendors for design execution
- Review drawings, samples, and material specifications to ensure design compliance
- Support site teams during execution by issuing drawings, revisions, and clarifications
- Assist in BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, and material coordination
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, design specifications, and timelines
- Coordinate with MEP consultants to ensure seamless integration with interior design
- Maintain proper documentation and drawing records
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)
- Good understanding of interior materials, finishes, furniture, and detailing
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior drawings
- Knowledge of site execution processes and construction practices
- Basic understanding of MEP coordination for interiors
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's or Diploma in Interior Design / Interior Architecture / Civil Engineering
- Additional certification in drafting or design software is an advantage
Experience
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in interior design execution or engineering
- Experience in high end - commercial, residential, retail, or hospitality interiors preferred
Software Knowledge
- AutoCAD – Mandatory
- SketchUp / 3Ds Max / Photoshop – Preferred but not mandatory
- MS Excel, MS Word
