Job Title: Junior Interior Designer

Job Summary:
Salleel Deshpande Architect & Consultant is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Junior Interior Designer to support interior design development, prepare detailed drawings, assist in project coordination, and contribute to innovative interior solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong design sensibility, technical knowledge, and a passion for creating functional and aesthetically refined spaces. This role involves working closely with senior designers and architects across all project stagesfrom concept development to site execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in conceptualizing interior design ideas and space planning layouts.
Develop detailed interior drawings, furniture layouts, ceiling plans, elevations, and working drawings.
Create 3D models, renders, and presentation materials for client meetings.
Coordinate with architects, consultants, vendors, and contractors for smooth project execution.
Conduct site visits for measurements, documentation, and supervision under guidance.
Assist in material selection, finishes coordination, furniture design, and specification documentation.
Support in preparing BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and tender documentation.
Ensure compliance with design standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
Participate in resolving on-site design and technical challenges.
Maintain project documentation and drawing updates throughout execution stages.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Interior Design from a recognized institution.
Experience:
24 years of professional experience in an interior design or architecture firm.
Internship experience in interior design will be an added advantage.
Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory; knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, 3ds Max, or similar design tools is preferred.
Strong understanding of space planning, materials, finishes, lighting, and furniture detailing.
Ability to develop accurate working drawings and detailed interior documentation.
Basic knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and site coordination.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Strong visualization and presentation abilities.
Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
Ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple tasks.

Working Conditions:
Full-time, in-office role from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday to Saturday.
Regular site visits under supervision.
Travel to project sites as required.
