Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer – Real Estate role based in Mumbai. The Interior Designer will collaborate with real estate and project teams to plan functional spaces, develop interior concepts, and translate client requirements into practical design solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing design proposals, creating layouts and mood boards, coordinating FF&E selections, and producing construction and detail drawings. The role involves regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure design adherence, and address on-site challenges with contractors and vendors. The Interior Designer will also participate in client meetings, refine designs based on feedback, and work within project budgets and timelines while maintaining quality and compliance with local regulations.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Interior Design and Architecture, with the ability to develop cohesive concepts that align with real estate and client needs.
  • Proficiency in Space Planning to optimize functionality, circulation, and ergonomics in residential and commercial properties.
  • Ability to create accurate Construction Drawings, detail drawings, and documentation for execution and contractor coordination.
  • Experience in FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection, specification, and coordination with vendors and suppliers.
  • Hands-on experience with design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools).
  • Strong visual, technical, and material knowledge, including finishes, lighting, and current interior design trends.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, project managers, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced real estate environment.
  • Relevant diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; prior experience in real estate or fit-out projects is an advantage.
