Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Chennai. The Interior Designer will collaborate with clients to understand requirements, develop design concepts, and create layouts for home and commercial spaces. Responsibilities include preparing mood boards, detailed drawings, and specifications; coordinating FF&E selections; and ensuring designs align with budget, timelines, and quality standards. The role involves site visits, measurements, coordination with vendors and contractors, and oversight of installation and finishing. The Interior Designer will also support project documentation, presentations, and revisions as needed throughout the design and execution process.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Interior Design and Architecture, with the ability to develop creative, functional design concepts.
- Proficiency in Space Planning and layout development for residential and commercial interiors.
- Ability to produce and interpret Construction Drawings and technical documentation for project execution.
- Experience with FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection, material specifications, and finishes.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Comfort with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic MS Office tools.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to present and explain design ideas clearly.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines on-site.
- Prior experience in residential and/or commercial interior projects in a similar role is an advantage.
