Job Description

About Namaste Design

Namaste Design is a Mumbai-based interior design studio specializing in modular kitchens, wardrobes, and full-home interiors. We're a lean, fast-scaling studio working with real clients on real projects — and we're building a team that takes ownership from day one.

The Role

This role is hands-on and end-to-end. You will be involved in understanding client requirements, translating them into functional designs, and ensuring they are executed with precision on site.

What you'll be doing
  • Designing modular kitchens, wardrobes, and interior layouts
  • Understanding client needs and translating them into practical solutions
  • Preparing drawings, presentations, and quotations
  • Coordinating with site teams, vendors, and contractors
  • Visiting sites to ensure designs are executed as planned
  • Supporting material selection and project planning

You will work closely with real projects, real clients, and real timelines — gaining exposure that goes beyond a typical entry-level role.

This position is ideal for someone serious about learning, taking ownership, and growing with a company that is actively scaling.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for individuals who are intentional about their career and ready to take ownership early.

Core Skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp
  • Working knowledge of Excel and basic presentations
  • Understanding of interior design principles and space planning
  • Ability to translate ideas into clear, practical drawings
Professional Approach
  • Strong communication and client interaction skills
  • Attention to detail and structured thinking
  • Ability to manage timelines, sites, and multiple responsibilities
  • Willingness to step beyond design and be involved in execution
Mindset
  • Curious, proactive, and solution-oriented
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Open to feedback and continuous improvement
  • Looking to build long-term expertise, not just gain experience
What Sets You Apart
  • Internship or on-site experience in interiors or modular furniture
  • Exposure to client handling or site coordination
  • A strong eye for both design and practicality
Why Join Us
  • Real ownership — drive projects from concept to handover
  • Direct client exposure — not just back-end CAD work
  • End-to-end learning — design, site, vendors, execution
  • Lean team — your work is visible and impactful
  • Growth path — scale with the company, not stuck in a role
