Organization Description: Jaipur Rugs is a social enterprise that connects rural craftsmanship with global markets through its luxurious handmade carpets. It is a family-run business that offers an exclusive range of hand-knotted and hand-woven rugs made using 2500 years old traditional art forms. The founder, Mr. Nand Kishore Chaudhary created a unique business model, which provides livelihood to the artisans at their doorstep. This changed the standard practice of involving middlemen to work with artisanal communities. The company currently has a network of over 40,000 artisans spread across 600 rural Indian villages in five states of India. It has an end-to-end business model, right from sourcing of wool to exporting a finished handmade rug.

The modern and eclectic collection of rugs, made using the finest wool and silk, has won numerous global awards and is currently exported to more than 45 countries with the US sales arm, Jaipur Living, Inc. located in Georgia, Atlanta.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and support interior drawings, layouts, and execution plans for retail stores and office projects.
• Coordinate upcoming retail store construction and office construction activities.
• Work closely with architects, contractors, vendors, and project teams for smooth project execution.
• Assist in space planning, store layouts, material selection, and design detailing aligned with Jaipur Rugs aesthetics.
• Review technical drawings and ensure execution is aligned with approved designs.
• Coordinate with vendors for quotations, production, execution timelines, and installation requirements.
• Conduct regular site visits and monitor execution quality, timelines, and finishing standards.
• Prepare design drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
• Coordinate procurement and sourcing of materials, fixtures, furniture, display elements, and décor requirements.
• Ensure projects are completed within timelines, budgets, and Jaipur Rugs quality standards.
• Stay updated with market trends, materials, finishes, and industry innovations.
• Support store setup, styling, VM coordination, and overall presentation of retail spaces when required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and operations.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong design sensibility and creativity.
• Excellent knowledge of space planning and aesthetics.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, V-Ray, 3D Max, or similar design software.
• Good understanding of materials, furniture, lighting, and finishes.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to handle client interactions professionally.
• Good project coordination and vendor management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.
