Interior Designer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Mumbai. The Interior Designer will develop concept designs and mood boards for shared and private spaces, aligning with HSQUARE's brand and the needs of students and young professionals. Responsibilities include space planning, preparing detailed interior layouts, and coordinating with architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure design intent is executed on-site. The role involves producing construction drawings and documentation, selecting FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), and overseeing installations and styling to deliver cohesive, functional interiors. The Interior Designer will also support budgeting, materials research, and quality checks, while ensuring timelines and project standards are met.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Interior Design and Space Planning, with a strong portfolio of hospitality, co-living, or residential projects.
• Knowledge of Architecture fundamentals and coordination with building systems and services.
• Experience preparing detailed Construction Drawings and project documentation.
• Capability in FF&E selection, specification, and coordination with vendors and suppliers.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Strong skills in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and presentation tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work effectively with on-site teams, and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail, understanding of materials and finishes, and awareness of current interior design trends.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a client- and user-focused mindset.
