Job Description

  • Review architectural drawings and cross-check layouts for accuracy, resolving discrepancies with the design team
  • Create and maintain detailed room matrices for guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, ensuring accuracy in FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) allocations
  • Perform furniture, finishes, and accessories take-offs from drawings and organize quantities, dimensions, and specifications in Excel
  • Prepare FF&E specifications using specification software, ensuring compliance with brand standards, budgets, and project requirements
  • Use AutoCAD to validate furniture sizes, placements, and overall fit within layouts
  • Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to verify dimensions and feasibility of designs
  • Collaborate with senior designers, technical designers, procurement teams, and project managers to deliver complete and accurate design packages
  • Maintain organized records of design data, revisions, and submittals

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design
  • 35 years of professional experience in a hospitality design firm
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel (advanced level), and specification-writing software (e.g., Design Spec, Spec Sources, or similar)
  • Familiarity with hospitality brand standards and IDGM processes preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and spoken English for clear stakeholder communication and documentation
