Alora Designs is a boutique architecture and interior design studio based in Bangalore, crafting warm, character-led homes and spaces. We work closely with clients to translate mood, material, and lifestyle into considered design — from concept through execution.

About the Role

We're looking for an Interior Designer with 1–3 years of experience to join our growing studio. You'll work directly with the founder across residential and boutique commercial projects — from concept development and mood boards to detailed drawings, material selection, and site coordination. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to grow fast in a small, design-forward studio.

What You'll Do

• Develop design concepts, mood boards, and material palettes aligned with client briefs
• Prepare layout plans, elevations, and detailed drawings (AutoCAD/SketchUp)
• Create 3D visualizations and renders to communicate design intent
• Source furniture, finishes, fixtures, and decor from vendors and showrooms
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and site teams to ensure design accuracy during execution
• Prepare BOQs, specification sheets, and presentation decks for client meetings
• Conduct site visits and measurements
• Stay current with design trends, materials, and industry references (Pinterest, Instagram, trade sources)

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree/diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in a design studio, architecture firm, or interior design practice
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp; working knowledge of 3ds Max/V-Ray, Enscape, or similar rendering tools is a plus
• Strong sense of color, material, spatial planning, and detailing
• Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines
• Good communication skills — able to present ideas clearly to clients and coordinate with vendors/contractors
• A genuine eye for design — someone who's always looking, referencing, and curating
• Based in or willing to relocate to Bangalore
