Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Design Specialist role based in Lucknow. The Interior Design Specialist will be responsible for developing interior concepts for government and institutional projects, including public spaces, museums, offices, and heritage-related facilities, ensuring alignment with project objectives and cultural context. Daily tasks include creating and reviewing space plans, developing mood boards, selecting materials and finishes, and coordinating FF&E specifications that meet functional, aesthetic, and budgetary requirements. The role involves preparing design drawings and presentations, collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and project managers, and supporting the preparation of documentation and schedules needed for execution. The Interior Design Specialist will also conduct site visits, review installations for quality and compliance with design intent, and communicate with vendors and contractors to resolve design-related issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Strong interior design capabilities, including concept development and detailed Interior Design skills relevant to public, institutional, and heritage-focused projects.
- Proficiency in Space Planning to optimize functionality, circulation, and user experience in diverse environments.
- Knowledge of Furniture and FF&E selection, specification, and coordination, with attention to durability, aesthetics, and budget.
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, presenting design ideas, and coordinating with vendors and contractors.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and familiarity with MS Office for documentation and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience working on government, institutional, or large-scale projects is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and readiness to work on-site in Lucknow as part of a project-driven environment.
