Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Interior Design Sales Manager to lead the sales function while providing expert interior design consultation to clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing client relationships, overseeing the sales team, and ensuring the successful delivery of interior design projects. This role requires a strong combination of sales leadership, design knowledge, and project coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Generate new business through referrals, networking, partnerships, and lead generation activities.
- Manage the complete sales cycle, from initial client consultation to project closure.
- Prepare and present design proposals, quotations, and commercial offers.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and project terms with clients.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, architects, builders, and channel partners.
Client Consultation & Design:
- Understand clients functional requirements, aesthetic preferences, budgets, and timelines.
- Guide clients in selecting layouts, materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and décor solutions.
- Collaborate with the design team to create customized interior design concepts and presentations.
- Ensure design solutions meet client expectations while maintaining profitability.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Monitor sales performance and provide coaching and performance feedback.
- Conduct regular sales meetings and product knowledge training.
- Coordinate with designers, project managers, procurement teams, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Market & Business Intelligence:
- Track market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
- Identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Recommend improvements to products, services, and customer experience based on market insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in interior design sales, furniture sales, modular interiors, or home décor, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of interior design principles, space planning, materials, and finishes.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design tools is an advantage.
