We're seeking an experienced and highly organizedInterior Project Managerto oversee the successful execution of our design projects from concept through completion.
The Role: Interior Project Manager
TheInterior Project Managerwill be the central figure responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing interior design and fit-out projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role requires exceptional leadership, strong technical knowledge, and excellent client management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocation schedules. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with the design team and clients.
- Budget Management: Oversee and track project budgets, ensuring all financial objectives are met. Manage procurement, vendor contracts, and invoicing.
- On-Site Supervision & Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, enforce safety standards, and ensure the highest quality of workmanship and adherence to design specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Team & Vendor Coordination: Effectively manage and coordinate internal design teams, external contractors, sub-contractors, and suppliers (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrical).
- Communication & Reporting: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status, managing expectations, and proactively addressing any concerns or changes. Generate detailed progress reports for management.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate delays and maintain quality.
- Handover & Closeout: Ensure seamless project handover, manage punch lists, and obtain final client sign-off.
What We're Looking For (Required Skills & Qualifications)
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of progressive experience in project management for interior fit-out, construction, or high-end renovation projects (residential and/or commercial).
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, interior finishes, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems, and building codes.
- Project Management Tools: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello) and MS Office Suite.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Client Focus: Proven ability to manage complex client relationships and deliver exceptional service.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. PMP certification is a strong asset.
