Job Description
Selected Intern's Day-to-day Responsibilities Include
Concept & Research Support: Work on mood boards, color palettes, and design themes; research trends, materials, and finishes.
Drafting & Technical Drawing: Use software (AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Revit, etc.) to help prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction documents.
3D Modeling & Presentation: Create 3D renderings, digital or hand sketches, and presentation boards for client meetings.
Material Sourcing: Help source furniture, fixtures, fabrics, finishes; order samples; maintain and organize the material library.
Vendor & Specification Coordination: Communicate with vendors, request pricing, follow up on sample deliveries, and contribute to the specification of furniture/finishes.
Site Visits: Accompany senior designers or project managers to project sites for measurements, site surveys, and progress reviews.
Project Documentation: Organize and maintain project folders, timesheets, and design documentation; help with administrative tasks like filing and coordinating couriers.
Code & Regulation Research: Assist in researching building codes, spatial requirements, and compliance to ensure design feasibility.
Team Collaboration: Participate in internal meetings, brainstorming sessions, and coordinate tasks across the design team.
