Role Description This is a 6 month paid internship based in Bengaluru, convertible to full time employment based on performance. The intern will support the design team in developing concepts, preparing mood boards, space plans, and layout options. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with material and furniture selections, coordinating FF&E documentation, and helping prepare presentations and drawings for client meetings. The intern will conduct site visits with senior designers, participate in site meetings, and help track design changes and project progress. The role also involves maintaining project files, collaborating closely with vendors and consultants, and contributing fresh design ideas under the guidance of experienced team members.
Qualifications:
- Foundational skills in Interior Design and an understanding of design principles, materials, and detailing.
- Ability in Space Planning, including functional layouts and efficient use of residential spaces.
- Strong Communication skills for collaborating with team members, vendors, and clients, both verbally and in writing.
- Recently completed a degree/diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Basic proficiency in design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Vray, or similar) and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint, InDesign, or equivalent).
- Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced project environment.
- Portfolio or academic project work demonstrating design thinking, creativity, and visualization skills.
