Interior Design Executive

The Designer is responsible for preparing accurate design drawings, layouts, 3D visuals, BOQs, specifications, and product shop drawings in line with project requirements, client expectations, and applicable standards. The role involves close coordination with project, execution, and vendor teams to ensure design intent is properly translated into execution-ready documents.

Key Responsibilities Design & Drafting

Prepare detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD, including plans, elevations, sections, and details.

Develop space planning and layout drawings as per project requirements and site conditions.

Create 3D models and views for design visualization and client presentations.

Shop Drawings & Documentation

Prepare and review product/shop drawings for approval and execution.

Ensure shop drawings align with approved designs, specifications, and site constraints.

Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and execution teams for drawing clarifications and revisions.

BOQ & Specifications

Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on drawings and design scope.

Develop and update material and product specifications in line with project standards.

Assist in quantity take-offs and cost-related design inputs when required.

Coordination & Compliance

Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and consultants to resolve design issues.

Incorporate feedback from clients, consultants, and internal teams into drawings.

Ensure all drawings and documents comply with relevant standards, codes, and company guidelines.

Skills & Competencies

Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).

Working knowledge of 3D software (e.g., SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, or similar).

Strong understanding of layout planning, detailing, and construction drawings.

Knowledge of BOQ preparation, specifications, and materials.

Ability to prepare accurate shop drawings and as-built drawings.

Good coordination, communication, and time-management skills. 

Qualifications

Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Civil, or a related field.

2-3 years of relevant experience in design and drafting (as applicable).

Preferred Experience

Experience in [interior / architectural / industrial / retail / residential] projects.

Familiarity with site execution processes and vendor coordination.
