Scope of Role
The Engineer is responsible for generating CATIA V5/V6 Body Engineering CAD concepts/ solutions for projects of Climate Control System.
Area of Responsibility:
- This position is responsible for creation of CAD geometry and Drawings in support of various Climate Control System
- Design and development of Cabin Cooling System and its Component, AC Lines & Hoses, Cooling Circuit layout
- Ensure data is up to date and reflects the required levels of maturity at any given point in time
- Provide CAD support, leading and progressing the design in line with the program timescales and deliverables.
- Ability to check and manage clearance to interface parts.
- Ensure manufacturing feasibility of parts.
- Ensuring issues that cannot be resolved are escalated to Lead Engineer/Team Lead
- Ensuring that the all-project deliverables are met on time.
- Ensure all packaging feasibility for Component.
- Extensive experience in using CATIA V5/V6
- Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector.
- Engineering knowledge of defined component/system design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
- Excellent communications skills demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.
- Ability to interact with cross functional teams like CAE/VI Lead teams, interpret CAE results and suggest corrective actions.
- Good understanding on GD&T and tolerance stack up analysis.
Essential:
- Extensive experience in using CATIA V5 & V6. Catia V6 is most preferred.
- Good all-around design skills which must include experience of working on at least one of Cooling Systems project.
- In depth knowledge of cooling system and component design requirement for AC lines, HVAC, Condenser, Chiller, Mounts and brackets.
- Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector.
- Team Centre Engineering (TCE) / Enovia
- Engineering knowledge of defined component(s) / system(s) design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
- Working with parametric design and methodology.
Skills:
- Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills, adapting style to suit different audiences, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.
- Demonstrates and fosters a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals.
- In depth knowledge of Climate control system
- CAD Literacy: Ability to generate CAD data and Master sections in CATIA V5/V6
- PC Literacy: Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc
- Analytical, logical, and critical thinking ability.
