Role Description
This is a contract, on-site role for an Interim Chief Financial Officer based in Mumbai. The Interim CFO will lead the financial planning and analysis, oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This role will also involve developing financial strategies, managing budgeting processes, and providing insights to strengthen decision-making and business performance. The individual will be responsible for driving financial reporting processes and maintaining fiscal health to support business objectives.

- Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Manage month-end/year-end close, prepare financial statements, journal entries, and variance analysis.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead budget/forecast preparation and analysis to align with company goals.
- Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, implement/maintain internal controls, and support audits.
- Analysis & Strategy: Provide financial insights, analyze trends, and support senior leadership with data for decision-making.
- Team Leadership: Supervise the finance team to ensure smooth daily operations and performance.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiency enhancements in financial processes.
- Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation.
- Key Skills & Qualifications
- Strong accounting and finance expertise, often with a CPA/CA.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and automation.
- Experience in relevant industries (e.g., manufacturing, LNG Industry, Gas Experience).
- Stabilize Finances: Manage functions during leadership vacancies (maternity, resignation) or organizational changes (mergers, restructuring).
- Bridge Gaps: Maintain operations and provide expertise without long-term commitment.
- Completing the Project as per the given Deadline.
- Drive Change: Implement new structures, clear up financial issues, and improve processes quickly.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai Suburban.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA/CPA is preferred
