Intensivist, you will work in a purpose-driven, non-commercial healthcare environment, leading ICU services while mentoring the next generation of medical professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor critically ill patients in the ICU, HDU, and emergency settings.
- Perform and supervise procedures like intubation, central line insertion, arterial cannulation, etc.
- Collaborate with consultants across specialties (medicine, surgery, anesthesia, cardiology, etc.) for multidisciplinary care.
- Lead code blue responses and rapid response teams.
- Interpret ABGs, ECGs, bedside ultrasounds, chest X-rays, and other critical diagnostics.
- Mentor junior doctors, nurses, and paramedics in ICU protocols and critical care decision-making.
- Participate in clinical audits, case discussions, morbidity and mortality meetings.
- Support ethical decision-making in end-of-life care and patient-family counseling.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control, safety, and ICU documentation standards.
Eligibility Criteria
- MD/DNB in Anesthesiology / General Medicine / Pulmonology / Emergency Medicine
- Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine (IDCCM/FNB/FICM/EDIC) preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years ICU experience in tertiary-care/teaching hospital
- Familiarity with ventilator management, sepsis protocols, and advanced life support
