Patient Care & Clinical Management
- Provide comprehensive medical care in the ICU, including routine and emergency coverage.
- Monitor and manage critically ill patients, responding promptly to changes in condition.
- Assess new ICU admissions and manage pain relief protocols as required.
Procedures & Equipment Handling
- Perform critical care procedures, including central line insertion, IV channelization, and intubation.
- Operate and monitor critical care equipment such as ventilators.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to clinical safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols.
- Follow departmental on-call and duty schedules as assigned.
Documentation & Communication
- Prepare accurate treatment sheets, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Report complex health issues to consultants as needed.
Rounds & Collaboration
- Participate in daily rounds independently or alongside consultants.
- Implement necessary changes to patient care plans based on clinical evaluation.
