As part of a growing engineering team, you'll own the development of scalable data acquisition and AI extraction pipelines, helping deliver high-quality, auditable data that powers next-generation AI solutions.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll combine software engineering, AI, data engineering and cloud technologies to solve challenging real-world problems.

The Role

As a Regulatory Intelligence Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, building and operating intelligent data pipelines that collect, transform and validate information from multiple global sources.
You'll leverage AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to extract structured data, build reliable cloud-native services and ensure data quality across the platform.
Working closely with Product, Engineering and AI teams, you'll have end-to-end ownership of critical systems that directly impact customers.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain scalable web crawling and data acquisition pipelines.
Develop AI-powered extraction pipelines using Large Language Models (LLMs).
Build robust backend services and automation using Python.
Create reliable ETL and data processing workflows.
Develop data validation, cleansing and deduplication processes.
Design scalable data models and schemas.
Build cloud-native solutions using AWS.
Develop monitoring, alerting and observability across production pipelines.
Improve automation, reliability and operational efficiency.
Build tooling to accelerate customer onboarding and data coverage.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering and AI teams to deliver new platform capabilities.
Contribute to architecture, code reviews and technical design discussions.

About You

You'll be passionate about building reliable data platforms and enjoy solving complex engineering challenges.
You'll ideally have:

3+ years experience in Data Engineering, Backend Engineering or AI Engineering.
Strong Python development experience.
Commercial experience building web crawlers, scrapers or automated data collection systems.
Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) for extraction, classification or summarisation.
Experience designing scalable ETL and data processing pipelines.
Strong SQL skills and database design experience.
Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
Experience with Docker and containerised applications.
Knowledge of REST APIs and backend development.
Experience with monitoring, logging and production support.
Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a remote engineering team.
