API Integration Tech Lead – AWS (Java & Python)

We are looking for an API Integration Tech Lead with strong experience in AWS-native, serverless API architectures, specializing in Java (Spring Boot) and Python. You will lead the design and delivery of API Gateway + Lambda–based integrations, mentor engineers, and own API standards, security, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of AWS-based API integrations
- Design and build RESTful APIs using API Gateway & AWS Lambda
- Drive API-first architecture, standards, and best practices
- Implement secure integrations using OAuth2, JWT, Cognito, IAM
- Build event-driven solutions using SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Step Functions
- Ensure observability, reliability, and performance in production
- Mentor team members and perform code/design reviews
Required Skills
- 8+ years in software engineering with strong API & integration experience
- Hands-on expertise in Java (Spring Boot) and Python
- Strong experience with AWS serverless stack:
- API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions
- SQS, SNS, EventBridge
- API design using OpenAPI/Swagger
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / AWS CDK / CloudFormation)
- CI/CD pipelines and production support experience

- AWS certifications
- Experience with AWS WAF, security best practices
- Event-driven and distributed systems experience
