Job Description

The Integration Services Manager is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of complex integration solutions to ensure seamless and secure data flow across systems. This role provides strategic technical leadership for integration projects, driving innovation, operational efficiency, and ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of scalable and secure integration solutions, including APIs, microservices, and middleware platforms such as MuleSoft.
  • Define and implement enterprise-wide API strategies, ensuring best practices for security, lifecycle management, and standardization.
  • Oversee the management and performance of integration platforms, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability.
  • Act as a technical liaison among development, operations, and business teams to align integration efforts with organizational objectives.
  • Establish governance frameworks for data and integration security, compliance, and industry standards.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to the integration engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Drive continuous process improvements through automation, DevOps practices, and modern integration architectures such as microservices and event-driven systems.
  • Monitor system performance, address issues proactively, and ensure minimal disruptions to business operations.
  • Track key performance indicators related to project delivery, system performance, and incident resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in integration platform design, development, and management.
  • Expertise in API management, microservices, messaging systems, and integration tools such as MuleSoft, Azure API Management, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols, OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), serverless architectures, and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance, Agile development, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex integrations in productized environments, managing dependencies, and leading cross-functional teams.

Key Stakeholders:

  • Internal teams including solution engineering, application development, business analysis, and security.
  • External partners, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Senior management including the UK CIO management team and business stakeholders.

Challenges & Environment:

This role operates in a fast-paced, continuously evolving technological environment, supporting high-value cloud-based solutions. The role requires managing risks related to security, data privacy, and service continuity amid high marketplace competition and consumer expectations.

Regulatory & Compliance:

Responsible for ensuring compliance with PRA/FCA regulations and other legal standards, including conducting thorough background checks and maintaining proper governance.
