Brief Description about the role:

The Electrification Core engineering team requires experienced power electronics system engineers to apply best in class design & analysis skills and derive system specifications, requirements for delivering Jaguar Land Rover's in-house electronic design, charging system for PHEV & BEV. Objective is to deliver levels of reliability and robustness exceeding anything that we have seen before.

Skills, experience and qualifications:

Essential:

  • Master, bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic/instrumentation/mechanical engineering

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/master's degree in electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Computer Engineering.
  • 10+ years in automotive embedded software, with at least 5 years in Integration testing leadership.
  • Proven experience in ASPICE SWE.5 methodologies, ensuring traceability and compliance.
  • Ability to define and ensure compliance with SWE.5 integration test outcomes, including traceability, coverage, and audit readiness.
  • Strong expertise in AUTOSAR BSW Integration (Com Stack, MCAL, OS, NVM,RTE, SWCs).
  • Strong skills in coordinating OEMs, suppliers, and test teams to align on integration scope, entry/exit criteria, and defect resolution.
  • Knowledge of ISO 26262 and cybersecurity standards, ensuring integration tests validate safety-critical and secure behaviours.
  • Board bring-up experience on at least One to two automotive microcontrollers (e.g., TI F28P65X, Infineon TC397, NXP S32K358, NXP S9KEAZN).
  • Familiarity with ASPICE-compliant development processes and system V lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in requirements management tools (DOORS, Polarion) and version control/CI-CD pipelines.
  • Excellent communication skills to present status, KPIs, and audit findings to leadership.

Desired:

  • Master's/PhD in relevant engineering discipline.
  • End-to-end knowledge of AUTOSAR and non-AUTOSAR architectures.
  • Exposure to BEV/MHEV/PHEV system solutions.
  • Experience in product lifecycle management from requirements to production.
  • Ability to manage multi-programme BSW deliveries.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Establish scope, entry/exit criteria, regression coverage, and acceptance thresholds for SWE.5 integration testing.
  • Drive adherence to ASPICE SWE.5 process outcomes, ensuring bidirectional traceability between requirements, test cases, and verification results.
  • Align OEMs, suppliers, and cross-functional teams on integration priorities, defect resolution, and release readiness.
  • Monitor integration test activities (SiL, HIL, ECU-based), ensuring timely execution and reporting of results.
  • Track integration issues, drive closure, and ensure compliance with ASPICE SUP.9 (Problem Resolution Management).
  • Ensure integration tests validate ISO 26262 functional safety requirements and cybersecurity measures(if any)
  • Provide clear reporting of KPIs (coverage, defect closure rate, regression pass/fail trends) to leadership and audit teams.
  • Adapt ASPICE-compliant processes to project-specific needs while maintaining audit readiness
