Integration Engineer

We are hiring for Genesys Cloud Integration Engineer role.

We are a company building in the CCaaS and AI conversation space, and we are looking for our first integration hire to help us connect our platform to the broader ecosystem. As a foundational member of the engineering team, you will have significant ownership over how we integrate with external systems - starting with Genesys Cloud and expanding over time.

Your initial focus will be on delivering a production-grade Genesys Cloud integration, consuming APIs, webhooks, and event streams, and feeding data reliably into our backend. You will work closely with our product and engineering teams to shape the architecture, set the standards, and build the foundation that future integrations will be built on.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and build our Genesys Cloud integration layer, including API consumption, webhook handling, and real-time event stream processing.
2. Publish and manage event data into our ingestion pipeline, ensuring reliability, ordering, and data consistency.
3. Work closely with product and engineering to translate requirements into reliable, maintainable integration architecture.
4. Define integration patterns and standards that will scale as we expand to additional platforms over time.
5. Own technical documentation covering integration design decisions, data flows, and maintenance guidelines.
6. Identify and resolve reliability, performance, and data consistency issues across integration touchpoints.
7. Stay current on Genesys Cloud API updates and platform changes, assessing their impact on our integrations.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Genesys Cloud platform.
• Strong proficiency with Genesys Cloud APIs, webhooks, and event-driven integration patterns.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Solid experience designing and building production integration layers - not just configuration, but engineering robust, maintainable connectors.
• Comfortable working in an early-stage environment with ambiguity and evolving requirements.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate closely with product and engineering stakeholders.
• Experience producing clear technical documentation - architecture diagrams, data flow docs, API references.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with message streaming platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with caching strategies and Redis.
• Familiarity with other CCaaS platforms, particularly Amazon Connect.
• Exposure to AI conversation platforms.
• Genesys Cloud CX certification (e.g., Genesys Cloud CX Certified Professional).
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
