This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Integration Engineer (Java & PHP) in India.
In this role, you will design and deliver robust integrations that connect internal platforms with third-party systems at scale. You will work in a fully remote environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and engaging directly with customers to understand technical needs and solve complex integration challenges. Your work will have a direct impact on system reliability, data flow, and customer experience. You will contribute across the full integration lifecycle, from design and development to testing, deployment, and ongoing support. This role offers a balance of hands-on engineering and customer-facing problem solving. It is ideal for an experienced integration specialist who values clean architecture, scalability, and clear communication.
Accountabilities
- Analyze, maintain, and enhance existing Java and PHP codebases related to system integrations
- Design, develop, and maintain REST and SOAP API integrations with internal platforms and external applications
- Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams to align integrations with technical standards and business objectives
- Engage directly with customers to gather technical requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide expert integration guidance
- Perform thorough testing, debugging, documentation, and validation of integration solutions
- Monitor performance and provide post-integration support to ensure long-term reliability and scalability
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in integration engineering or application development
- Strong proficiency in Java and PHP with demonstrated experience in system integration
- Practical experience designing, consuming, and maintaining REST and SOAP APIs
- Familiarity with relational and or non-relational databases
- Experience using version control systems, preferably Git
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Customer-facing experience with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts and solutions
