Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership & Ownership
- Lead and execute complex technical design missions with high autonomy under general guidelines.
- Propose, develop, and implement advanced engineering solutions in electromechanical and electrical systems.
- Provide functional leadership and guidance to junior design engineers and designers.
- Support team development through mentoring, coaching, and technical assistance.
- Product Design & Development
- Own and deliver complex product design, including:
- Detailed 2D/3D drawings
- Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Sub-assemblies and system-level designs
- Ensure designs meet:
- Technical specifications
- Customer expectations
- Supply chain constraints
- Lead functional contributions in product architecture and functional analysis.
- Engineering Standards & Compliance
- Apply and enforce:
- Engineering drawing standards
- Industry norms and regulatory requirements
- Internal design processes and industrialization rules
- Contribute to defining and improving internal procedures, best practices, and design guidelines.
- Simulation & Analysis
- Plan, manage, and execute engineering simulations (e.g., structural, thermal, electrical as applicable).
- Interpret simulation results and integrate findings into design improvements.
- Ensure designs are validated through analytical and virtual verification methods.
- Verification & Validation (V&V)
- Develop verification and validation (V&V) plans for complex products.
- Lead or support laboratory testing and validation activities.
- Analyze results and provide technical reports and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Ensure design robustness through systematic validation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with:
- Manufacturing and industrialization teams
- Supply chain and sourcing
- Quality and testing teams
- Internal customers and stakeholders
- Ensure design feasibility, cost optimization, and manufacturability.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Identify and implement improvements in:
- Design methodologies
- Tools and systems
- Product performance and reliability
- Drive innovation and contribute to process optimization initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics
- Typically 5+ years of experience in design engineering (electromechanical/electrical domain)
