Project Description

We're building a delivery team for a large, multi-phase enterprise Mendix programme and are looking for an Integration Developer to build its ESB services. The programme integrates with about 20 systems through an existing ESB. These include government services, banks, a payment gateway, and enterprise platforms such as CRM, finance and accounting, chatbot and data management. Many external systems respond asynchronously, so robust error handling, retries, reconciliation and monitoring are central to the work.

Role summary

We are looking for an Integration Developer to design and build ESB services, covering mapping, orchestration, error handling and monitoring, between Mendix applications and many external and enterprise systems.

Key responsibilities

• Build ESB services for the programme's integrations: data mapping, orchestration, error handling, retries, logging and monitoring.

• Integrate with government, banking, payment and enterprise platform APIs, including asynchronous responses.

• Implement reconciliation and monitoring for integrations.

• Work with the Solution Architect and Mendix developers on integration design and the platform-side logic.

• Support system integration testing (SIT) against external sandboxes, and fix integration defects.

• Document the integration services for handover to the client.

Experience

• • 5+ years in enterprise integration development.
• 3+ years building services on a commercial enterprise ESB.
• Data mapping and orchestration across multiple external systems.
• Error handling, retries and monitoring for production integrations.
• Integrating with government, banking or payment APIs.
