Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Insurance Sales Agent to generate new business opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and achieve sales targets. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to convert leads into successful policy sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Business Development
- Identify and generate new leads through networking, referrals, field visits, and other prospecting activities.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of potential customers.
- Approach individuals, families, and businesses to promote insurance products.
- Explore new market opportunities to expand the customer base.
- Sales & Conversion
- Meet prospective clients to understand their insurance needs.
- Present and explain suitable insurance plans and policy benefits.
- Prepare quotations and assist customers in selecting the right insurance coverage.
- Follow up on leads and convert prospects into policyholders.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
- Provide excellent pre-sales and post-sales support.
- Assist customers with policy renewals, endorsements, and claim-related guidance.
- Address customer queries and concerns promptly.
- Market Awareness & Reporting
- Stay updated on insurance products, industry trends, and competitor activities.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, customer interactions, and sales activities.
- Submit regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- 0–3 years of experience in Insurance Sales, Financial Services Sales, Banking Sales, or Direct Sales.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to generate leads and close sales independently.
- Self-motivated with a target-driven mindset.
- Basic knowledge of insurance products and financial planning is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
