Job Summary
The
Instrumentation Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing instrumentation systems to ensure seamless plant operations. The role requires strong expertise in
Industrial Automation, IT & Operational Technology (OT) to integrate and improve plant efficiency, safety, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Instrumentation & Control Systems: Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot field instruments, sensors, and automation equipment (PLC, SCADA, DCS).
- IT & OT Integration: Develop and support industrial network architecture, ensuring effective communication between IT and OT systems.
- Predictive Maintenance & Analytics: Implement IoT-based predictive maintenance strategies using data analytics & AI tools.
- Cybersecurity & Network Protection: Ensure OT infrastructure follows cybersecurity protocols to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.
- Process Optimization & Automation: Drive digital transformation initiatives, leveraging Industry 4.0 technologies for enhanced efficiency.
- Compliance & Safety: Adhere to company and regulatory standards (ISO, GMP) related to instrumentation and control systems.
- Collaboration & Project Execution: Work closely with production, maintenance, IT, and external vendors for seamless project execution and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in
Instrumentation Engineering,
Electronics & Communication, or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum
3-8 years in
instrumentation & automation within a
manufacturing or FMCG plant, with expertise in
IT & OT systems.
Technical Proficiency
- PLC/SCADA programming (Siemens, Rockwell, ABB, Schneider).
- Industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC-UA, MQTT).
- IT network configuration (LAN, WAN, Firewalls, Cloud Services).
- Cybersecurity best practices for industrial automation. Soft Skills: Problem-solving, analytical thinking, team collaboration, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
