Instrumentation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Instrumentation & Control Systems

• Oversee installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation and control systems
• Ensure proper functioning of flow meters, pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, level gauges, and analytical instruments
• Collaborate with Production and Maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure instrumentation systems comply with safety and regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, local chemical industry norms)
• Conduct hazard and risk assessments related to instrumentation
• Promote a safety-first culture within the team
• Lead environmental monitoring and reporting compliance initiatives

Project Management

• Plan, execute, and monitor instrumentation projects including upgrades, installations, and expansions
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for instrumentation works

Continuous Improvement

• Identify system improvements to enhance reliability and reduce downtime
• Stay updated with the latest instrumentation technologies and recommend upgrades
• Participate in root cause analysis of instrumentation failures and implement preventive measures

Team Leadership & Reporting

• Lead a team of instrumentation technicians, providing guidance and training
• Maintain records of maintenance, calibration, and instrumentation activities using CMMS
