We're Hiring | Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Execution Engineer - Thermal Power Plant Expansion Project – Philippines
We are looking for an experienced Control & Instrumentation (C&I) execution professional with 10–15 years of experience for a Thermal Power Plant Expansion Project at an international project site in the Philippines.
- Project Location: Misamis Oriental, Philippines
- Qualification: BE / BTech – Control & Instrumentation / Instrumentation / Electronics
- Experience: 10–15 years (Thermal Power / EPC Projects)
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all site‑related construction issues involving Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation works.
- Carry out daily site visits across multiple contracts to monitor progress, identify constraints/holds, and guide contractors; issue formal communications in consultation with SOH wherever required.
- Identify critical areas of concern, develop action plans, and ensure implementation in coordination with SOH.
- Assist SOH in preparation of Project Review Meeting (PRM) agendas and presentation materials; conduct weekly / PRM meetings and issue Minutes of Meeting (MoM).
- Perform site inspections (verify / check / witness) to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality procedures, guidelines, and safety norms.
- Ensure effective Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) implementation and maintain records; review test results and highlight non‑conformities to contractors for corrective actions.
- Ensure usage of the latest applicable codes and standards for C&I works.
- Review and approve contractor erection and installation procedures for major and critical equipment using standard or project‑specific QA/QC formats.
- Certify contractor invoices, prepare and verify material reconciliation statements at contract completion.
- Prepare completion checklists and punch lists and support commissioning activities during the final project stages.
- Review, monitor, and control construction schedules in coordination with SOH; record deviations and initiate corrective actions.
- Ensure robust document control for all packages, including drawing registers, revision tracking, superseded/void markings, and proper filing of correspondence.
- Coordinate with other Construction Engineers to manage interfaces, holds, and progress, ensuring smooth site execution.
- Initiate problem case sheets and resolve field issues in consultation with SOH / PC / Specialist Teams.
- Advise contractors on HSE requirements, ensure implementation of safety practices, and verify valid calibration certificates for tools & tackles.
- Support SOH in site administration activities, including logistics, transportation arrangements, and other assigned responsibilities.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Strong hands‑on experience in C&I construction for thermal power plants
- Exposure to large EPC / Power Plant projects
- Sound knowledge of QA/QC systems, commissioning support & safety practices
- Excellent coordination, documentation, and contractor‑management skills
- Overseas project experience preferred
