Job Description

We're hiring a freelance Instrumentation & Control engineer (contract) to help us spec the right sensors for an industrial AI platform.

What you'd do:

- Walk a machine (CNC, motor, pump, compressor) and determine what to instrument and where

- Specify the right sensors — vibration accelerometers, RTDs/PT100, current, pressure, acoustic — with the correct signal types (4-20mA, mV/g, etc.)

- Read datasheets and guide procurement across vendors (Hansford, SKF, IFM, Indian suppliers)

- Advise on mounting, placement, and tapping existing PLC/sensor data where it exists

Who you are:

- Instrumentation / Electronics & Instrumentation (EIE) background

- 5+ years specifying industrial sensors in real plants

- Comfortable with condition monitoring — bonus if you hold ISO 18436 vibration analysis certification

- Can read a machine and a datasheet with equal fluency

The engagement:

- Contract / consulting, project-based

- Remote, with occasional travel to client plants (Pune and others)

- Ongoing — we have a pipeline of deployments, not a one-off
