Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Instrumentation / Electronics & Instrumentation / Electrical Engineering
Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled
Instrumentation Engineer with experience in
CRGO steel processing or similar manufacturing industries. The candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of field instruments and control systems used in precision-driven equipment such as
annealing furnaces, slitting lines, and cut-to-length machines.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot a wide range of field instruments, including:
- Temperature sensors (RTDs, thermocouples)
- Pressure transmitters
- Flow meters
- Level sensors
- Proximity and position sensors
- Monitor and maintain control systems (PLCs, SCADA, HMIs) used in CRGO process equipment.
- Ensure all instrumentation systems are operating within defined process parameters for quality assurance.
- Work closely with electrical and mechanical maintenance teams to support production reliability.
- Develop and maintain documentation for instrumentation loop diagrams, P&IDs, and calibration records.
- Manage and perform routine calibration schedules as per ISO/quality compliance.
- Support automation and control improvement initiatives in coordination with OEMs and system integrators.
- Analyze process data to identify areas for improvement in instrumentation accuracy or reliability.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards during instrumentation work, particularly around high-temperature and high-voltage areas.
- Maintain inventory of critical spares and instruments.
Key Skills & Competencies- Strong understanding of industrial instrumentation and process control systems.
- Hands-on experience with:
- PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, etc.)
- SCADA systems and HMI interfaces
- Calibration tools and standards
- Communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP)
- Familiarity with instrumentation used in:
- Bell-type annealing furnaces
- Slitting and decoiling lines
- Cut-to-length lines and stacking machines
