We're seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to join our Project Team in Dahej, Gujarat. This role goes beyond routine engineering, providing the rare opportunity to grow your career on a greenfield project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and engineering of instrumentation systems including P&IDs; instrument datasheets, hook-up drawings, and loop diagrams.
  • Selection and specification of field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments as per SIL Level & Specifications.
  • Preparation and review of technical documents including specifications, BOQs, I/O lists, and cause & effect charts.
  • Hands on experience on PLC/SCADA including program development, modification & trouble shooting.
  • Coordination with process, electrical, mechanical, and civil disciplines for integrated engineering solutions.
  • Review vendor drawings and documents for compliance with project requirements.
  • Supervision of installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning of instruments and control systems.
  • Loop checking, functional testing, and support during pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of existing instrumentation and control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as IEC, ISA, ISO, and project-specific technical specifications.
  • Support audits, inspections, and safety reviews related to instrumentation systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree/diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 37 years of relevant experience in industrial instrumentation (process plants, chemical, Agrochemical or pharmaceutical).
  • Strong knowledge of field instruments, control valves, PLC/DCS systems, and industrial communication protocols.
  • Familiarity with hazardous area classification and intrinsically safe systems is preferred.
  • Good understanding of applicable international codes and standards.

Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs;, loop diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
  • Hands-on experience with calibration and commissioning of instruments.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and coordination abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and engineering software/tools.

Work Environment

The role involves office-based engineering work as well as site-based activities including installation supervision, commissioning, and maintenance support. The role reports to the Project Head.
