Job Description

We are seeking an Instructional Designer with 2-4 years of experience in learning and development. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of instructional design principles and a creative mindset. This role is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of effective learning solutions across various formats to address organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Instructional Design: You will collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to assess learning needs and develop effective solutions. This involves creating course content, including lesson plans, assessments, and activities.
  • Material Development: Design and develop instructional materials for various modalities, such as instructor-led training (ILT), eLearning, blended learning, and virtual simulations. You'll create visual representations like storyboards and mock-ups, as well as job aids, participant guides, and facilitator guides.
  • eLearning & Curation: Build computer-based training (CBT) modules and interactive content using tools like Articulate 360 or Captivate. You will also research topics and curate relevant content for learning programs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Redesign existing materials to improve engagement and effectiveness. You'll also stay updated on best practices in instructional design, adult learning principles, and new learning technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Master's degree in HR, Organizational Development, or a similar field is preferred.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in instructional design, learning, and development.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with instructional design models like ADDIE or SAM. Knowledge of eLearning development tools (Articulate 360, Captivate) is essential. Strong skills in MS Office and graphic design tools are required.
  • Personal Attributes: You must have a creative mindset, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred Skills: Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), knowledge of video scripting and editing, and an understanding of online content accessibility standards.
