Job Title: Institutional Sales Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive sales of finished steel products across major categories, including flat steel (HR/CR Coils & Sheets, Plates, Galvanised, VAP), long steel products (Structural Steel, Rebars, Wire Rods) across institutional and project-based clients.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market mapping, lead generation, and direct client engagement in target sectors.

Collaborate with internal sourcing, logistics, and finance teams to deliver plant-to-project supply solutions, optimizing landed cost and delivery timelines.

Track market trends, competitor pricing, and demand patterns to recommend strategic pricing and stocking decisions.

Ensure smooth execution of deals through coordination with mills, service centers, and logistics partners.

Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and client dashboards using CRM tools and regular field intelligence.

Maintain strong relationships with purchase heads, project managers, and CXOs across target accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • 46 years of experience in finished steel sales to OEMs, project companies, or fabricators.
  • Deep knowledge of steel consumption in sectors such as automotive, infra, fabrication,
  • renewable energy, and engineering.
  • Graduate in Engineering, Commerce, or Business. Postgraduate qualification, such as an MBA
  • in Sales, Marketing, or Supply Chain, is preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing client accounts, negotiating with vendors/mills, and
  • closing high-value B2B deals.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Strong understanding of finished steel goods, specifications, grades, and applications.

Ability to provide solution-driven selling with knowledge of supply chain efficiencies

(freight, documentation, direct dispatches, etc.).

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills with comfort in CXO-level

conversations.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with CRM and sales management tools.

Self-driven with the ability to operate independently and deliver results in a fast-paced field-sales environment.

Willingness to travel extensively across PAN India.
