Institutional Equity Dealer / Sales Trader

About the Job

DRChoksey Group is looking for a dynamic and market-oriented Institutional Equity Dealer / Sales Trader to support and grow its Institutional Equity business. The role involves managing institutional client relationships, executing trades, supporting revenue growth, driving new empanelment, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver a superior client experience.

The ideal candidate should have exposure to institutional broking, equity markets, trade execution, and client servicing across Mutual Funds, PMS, AIFs, Insurance Companies, Family Offices, and other institutional participants.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage and service institutional clients across Mutual Funds, PMS, AIFs, Insurance Companies, Family Offices, and Corporate Treasuries.
  • Execute institutional equity trades accurately and efficiently while ensuring best execution practices.
  • Drive revenue growth through client engagement, trade enhancement, and increased wallet share.
  • Develop new institutional relationships and support client empanelment initiatives.
  • Coordinate with research teams to facilitate investment ideas, sector updates, and corporate access.
  • Ensure adherence to risk limits, compliance requirements, exchange regulations, and internal controls.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities across PMS, AIF, Wealth Management, Investment Banking, and other capital market offerings.
  • Maintain strong coordination with operations, compliance, RMS, and settlement teams for smooth execution.
  • Participate in client meetings, roadshows, analyst interactions, and institutional events.
  • Track client activity, market developments, and business opportunities to support franchise growth.

Skills Required

Domain Skills

  • Strong understanding of Equity Markets and Institutional Broking.
  • Experience dealing with Mutual Funds, PMS, AIFs, Insurance Companies, Family Offices, or Institutional Clients.
  • Knowledge of equity trading, market microstructure, and institutional dealing practices.
  • Understanding of capital market products including equities, derivatives, PMS, AIFs, and wealth products.
  • Familiarity with institutional client servicing and relationship management.

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with institutional trading platforms and OMS/RMS systems.
  • Knowledge of trade execution, settlements, compliance processes, and market operations.
  • Ability to analyze market movements, trading activity, and client requirements.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, Reuters, NSE/BSE trading systems, or equivalent market tools.
  • Ability to maintain MIS, revenue tracking, and client activity reports.

Managerial Skills

  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Effective communication and client engagement skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced market environment.
  • Strong coordination with research, compliance, operations, and leadership teams.
  • Commercial mindset with focus on revenue generation and client retention.

  • Experience: 5–10 Years
  • Industry: Institutional Broking, Capital Markets, Wealth Management, PMS, AIF, Securities, Research Houses
  • Location: Andheri, Mumbai
  • Education: Graduate/Post Graduate in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Management, or related fields
