Role Description The Installation Manager – NI Elevator is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for overseeing new installation projects from planning through final handover. This role includes coordinating site assessments, reviewing technical drawings and specifications, and planning installation schedules and resources. The Installation Manager supervises installation teams, ensures adherence to safety standards and quality checks, and liaises with clients, architects, contractors, and internal engineering teams to resolve site-related issues. Day-to-day tasks involve monitoring project progress, managing timelines and budgets, documenting installation activities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards. The role also includes supporting snag resolution, conducting final inspections, and contributing to continuous improvement of installation processes and practices.
Qualifications

  • Experience in elevator or lift installation management, including site supervision, project coordination, and vendor/contractor management.
  • Strong technical understanding of elevator systems, installation methods, safety norms, and relevant standards or regulations.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, layout plans, and technical documentation.
  • Skills in project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and monitoring timelines and budgets.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to work with clients, architects, builders, and internal teams.
  • Capability to perform site assessments, identify constraints, and propose practical installation solutions.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality, with experience implementing checklists, inspections, and documentation.
  • Ability to lead and mentor installation teams, promote a safety-first culture, and manage on-site training when needed.
  • Comfort working in a dynamic, field-based environment with multiple ongoing projects in urban construction settings.
