Job Description
Perform pre-dispatch inspections (production supervision, factory acceptance tests, pre-shipment inspections) and post-dispatch inspections (container loading and unloading) for renewable energy equipment (solar modules, energy storage systems, inverters, etc.) informing project stakeholders of the progress of the work being conducted.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand the inspection plan and checklist content after being trained to the projects requirements.
- Participate to the project opening meeting to brief the supplier on the scope, inspection plan and schedule.
- Verify the on-site conditions according to the 5M methodology prior to performing the inspection.
- Witness manufacturing and testing progress by analyzing measurement according to a checklist
- Monitor the testing lead time to ensure the completion within the agreed schedule
- Inform the contact people on the inspection site about findings and analyze their improvement plan.
- Report to the Project Manager the findings observed on site during the inspection.
- Fill-in the inspection report, based on the format prepared by the Service Engineering team.
- Suggest improvements to the manufacturer to improve the inspected product and the testing conditions.
- Propose improvement of the inspection methodology.
Qualifications
- Education Background: Bachelor or Masters Degree in Electrical, Industrial or Renewables Engineering.
- Professional Knowledge: Ability to correctly interpret drawings, specifications and test procedures.
- Professional Qualification: Experienced in renewable energies, power electronics components, energy storage, factory inspection, quality control.
- Relevant Experience & Fixed Number of Years: At least 2 years experience in Quality Control (factory or on-site), or at least 3 years experience in a technical position in renewable energies.
- Management Skills: No Management skills required
- Computer Skills: Good command of the Microsoft Office package.
- Language Skills: Able to effectively communicate with project team and personnel at project site.
- Other Requirements: High ethics, outstanding communication skills, problem solver; 80+% of time on the inspection site is requested.
