About the Role
We are looking for a result-driven and dynamic Team Lead – Sales from the ODL (Online Distance Learning) / EdTech Industry to lead, mentor, and drive a high-performing admissions/sales team. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership capabilities, expertise in student counselling, conversion strategies, and target-driven team management.
The role demands ownership of admissions, team productivity, revenue generation, and ensuring a seamless counselling experience for prospective learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Education Counsellors/BDEs to achieve monthly admissions and revenue targets.
- Monitor daily sales activities including follow-ups, counselling quality, lead conversion, and productivity.
- Drive team performance through regular coaching, motivation, feedback, and performance reviews.
- Ensure effective counselling of students regarding university programs, eligibility, fee structures, admission procedures, and career opportunities.
- Monitor CRM hygiene, lead allocation, follow-up processes, and conversion funnels.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve team conversions and revenue performance.
- Conduct regular team huddles, mock calls, and sales training sessions to enhance productivity and communication skills.
- Handle escalations, objection handling, and critical student counselling scenarios to maximize closures.
- Collaborate with internal departments for smooth onboarding and admission processing.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for management review.
Eligibility Criteria
- Experience: 3–4 Years in ODL/Online Distance Learning/EdTech Sales.
- Prior experience in handling admissions/sales teams is mandatory.
- Candidates currently working as Assistant Team Lead (ATL) and looking for career progression may also apply.
- Strong understanding of counselling, admissions cycle, lead management, and conversion strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and team management skills.
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding targets in a high-pressure sales environment.
