Inside Sales Executive Freight Forwarding

PKM is looking for an Inside Sales Executive – Freight Forwarding to manage incoming business enquiries and convert them into confirmed shipments.

This is not a lead-generation or cold-calling role.

You will work on enquiries received from Indian importers, exporters and overseas freight-forwarding agents, including JC Trans, with responsibility for understanding the requirement, preparing a competitive quotation, following up with the customer/agent and closing the business.

• Handle incoming enquiries received through email, WhatsApp, phone and other channels.
• Understand customer/agent requirements for import and export shipments.
• Obtain and coordinate freight rates and other applicable charges internally.
• Prepare accurate and competitive quotations quickly.
• Send quotations to customers/agents through email or WhatsApp.
• Follow up systematically on every quotation until it is won, lost or put on hold.
• Speak with customers/agents to understand their feedback, objections and competitive rates.
• Coordinate internally to revise quotations or work out commercial solutions where required.
• Maintain a proper record of enquiries, quotations, follow-ups and conversion status.
• Identify repeat and upcoming business opportunities from existing customers and agents.
• Coordinate with the operations team after confirmation of business for a smooth handover.
• Escalate important or high-value opportunities to management when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 2+ years previous sales experience in freight forwarding industry.
• Experience with CRM systems
