Role Summary
As an Inside Sales Engineer, you will play a key role in our business development efforts managing customer inquiries, supporting technical discussions, ensuring smooth coordination of demos and follow-ups, and driving conversions. You will work closely with customers and internal teams throughout the pre-sales and post-sales journey, while also contributing to lead generation and marketing campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms.
- Qualify leads and ensure consistent follow-up throughout the sales funnel.
- Understand customer requirements, handle technical queries, and coordinate demos with application experts.
- Facilitate Proof of Concept (POC) discussions between customers and the technical team.
- Manage logistics for expert-led webinars - send invitations, track participation, and collect feedback.
- Stay engaged with customers across pre-sales and post-sales phases.
- Monitor and follow up on post-sales activities handled by the technical/application team.
- Conduct courtesy calls post-implementation to gather customer feedback and escalate objections if needed.
- Execute cold calls and mass email campaigns to generate leads and promote company solutions.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and share insights with sales and marketing teams.
- Work with defined sales KPIs and performance targets, aligned with company strategy.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Production / Mechatronics or related discipline.
- Strong understanding of sales principles and customer engagement.
- 1–3 years of experience in industrial, inside, or B2B technical sales is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of CRM tools, MS Office, and online meeting platforms.
- Self-motivated, organized, and goal-driven.
- Exposure to CNC machines, CAM software, or manufacturing technologies is an advantage.
- Good communication skills in English, Hindi, and the local language.
