Role Description

This is a full-time Innovation Researcher role based on-site in Chennai. The Innovation Researcher will focus on conducting research to identify emerging trends, assessing technological advancements, and driving innovation within ZEISS's key domains. Responsibilities include working across interdisciplinary teams to develop new concepts, analyzing market and technology landscapes, coordinating intellectual property efforts, and supporting product development through innovative solutions. The role involves active collaboration with global research and development networks to contribute to the success of ZEISS's innovation strategies.

Education requirements / Experience / Job Specifications

• University degree (PhDs/M Techs) in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
• 2–4 years of working on bringing research ideas to products either in industry or academia, overall experience of 4 to 10 years
• Experience in working in cross-functional and external teams
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
• String research experience
• Ability to work on projects with university teams
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Hands-on, collaborative mindset with perseverance in idea development.
• Based at IIT Madras Research Park, Chennai (on-site)
