The GIC Supply Chain team manages end-to-end operations, encompassing planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and analytics. They strategically plan to meet market demands, optimize sourcing, ensure efficient production, and oversee the seamless movement of goods from producti on to delivery. The team employs advanced analytics throughout these processes, fostering adaptability and operational excellence. This collaborative approach ensures a well-coordinated supply chain that aligns with both organizational goals and dynamic market conditions.

Purpose of the role

The Initiatives Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating, and tracking all key milestones for New Product Development (NPD), renovations, delists, and promotional packaging changes (On-pack). This role begins post Gate 2 approval and ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with market requirement. The position ensures new launches are production-ready, and set up correctly in all systems to support seamless customer ordering and on-time launch execution.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Milestone Tracking
  • Track project milestones through biweekly connects. Track key milestones-Route to Market, File to Printer, Drop to Plant, first production dates etc.
  • Maintain a standardized tracker and share updates in Bi-weekly connects
  • Monitor production readiness, identify and escalate risks, to support a smooth launch.
  • Compare Gate 2 approved volumes with MOQ requirements. Conduct risk analysis on the Drop to Plant number to assess the risk on the MOQ.- which helps to take decisions on whether the project should be delayed or if one can take the risk or push harder on the listings ( add more customers on board)
  • Analyse the MLOR- Perform quick calculations to assess stock-at-risk, Total COGS value
  1. Master Data & System Setup
  • Facilitate creation and extension of NPD and SKU codes in SAP and OMP, by coordinating with plants, supply planners, master data teams.
  • Ensure PR00 pricing setup, PSD file refresh, and 3PL readiness.
  • Generate barcodes required for customer forms to configure their systems during new product listings
  • Track 3PL setup and manage pallet configuration by requesting input from the logistics team
  • Validate the NLF to ensure all required setup is complete before demand is added or production begins
  1. Project Classification
  • Determine initiative type (Innovation, Renovation, On-pack, Delist).
  • Manage SKU and barcode changes configure deal codes in OMP for On-pack projects.
  1. Demand and Supply Visibility on the system
  • Ensure that demand is correctly flowing into OMP and visible for production planning for the plant

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education - Full time graduation from an accredited university
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Planning
  • 8 - 10 years of experience in supply chain project coordination, NPD execution, or initiative readiness roles within FMCG or manufacturing.

Required Skills/Experience

  • Strong Project management skills - tracking key milestones , escalating risks at the right forums.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform a risk analysis, assess MOQ's, stock at risk etc.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain planning, initiative management, and system setup dependencies.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills to manage multi-functional and multi-market stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, with ability to manage multiple initiatives and ensure full data integrity across systems.
  • Hands on Experience on managing tools and systems like SAP, OMP for SKU setup and visibility, pricing etc, ensuring demand is correctly inputted into the system, and for tracking key milestones.
