Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Infrastructure Solutions Architect to design, optimize, and maintain our enterprise infrastructure technology footprint. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution—designing resilient, scalable, and secure cloud, hybrid, and on-premises infrastructure solutions.
You will work closely with DevOps, Security, Enterprise Architecture, and Engineering teams to drive infrastructure modernization, improve system reliability, and lead migration initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Architectural Design & Strategy:
- Design end-to-end infrastructure solutions (hybrid cloud, multi-cloud, and on-premises) aligned with business goals, availability targets, and security policies.
- Define infrastructure technology roadmaps, system architectures, and reference blueprints.
- Cloud & Systems Infrastructure:
- Lead cloud migration, deployment, and optimization strategies across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Design enterprise networking, compute, storage, backup/disaster recovery (DR), and virtualization solutions.
- DevOps & Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Drive automation by implementing Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Bicep.
- Partner with DevOps teams to integrate infrastructure provisioning into continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Governance, Security & Compliance:
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity teams to incorporate Zero Trust architecture, identity/access management (IAM), and compliance standard safeguards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA).
- Establish governance frameworks, cost optimization strategies (FinOps), and resource tagging models.
- Technical Leadership & Collaboration:
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight during solution implementation.
- Conduct vendor assessments, evaluation of emerging technologies, and Proofs of Concept (PoCs).
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years in IT infrastructure engineering, with 3+ years explicitly in a Solutions Architect or Enterprise Architect role.
- Technical Competencies:
- Cloud Platforms: Deep hands-on expertise with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Puppet.
- Networking & Security: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, SD-WAN, firewalls, load balancers (ALB/NLB), DNS, and network segmentation.
- Systems & Containerization: Experience with Linux/Windows administration, Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices orchestration.
- Storage & DR: In-depth knowledge of SAN/NAS, object storage, backup solutions, and high-availability/disaster recovery architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional-level architecture certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
- Experience with FinOps methodologies and cloud cost governance tools (e.g., CloudHealth, Kubecost).
- Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
