- Maintenance and Support:
- Maintain and support the infrastructure, ensuring it is functioning properly and meeting business needs.
- Data Continuity:
- Play a crucial role in ensuring data continuity, which is a key aspect of disaster recovery.
- IT Support:
- Manage IT support deliverables and provide technical assistance to users.
- Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to IT strategic planning, aligning IT infrastructure with business objectives.
- Disaster Recovery Roles and Responsibilities:
- Disaster Recovery Planning:
- Disaster recovery teams develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, procedures, and documentation.
- Risk Assessment:
- Assess potential risks and vulnerabilities within the organization and develop mitigation strategies.
- Data Recovery:
- Data recovery processes, both virtual and physical.
- Testing and Optimization:
- Disaster recovery teams should regularly test and optimize disaster recovery plans and systems to ensure their effectiveness.
- Crisis Management:
- During a disaster, the disaster recovery team should work with other teams, including crisis management, to manage the incident and ensure business continuity.
- Capacity Management Roles and Responsibilities:
- Demand Forecasting:
- Forecast future IT capacity needs based on business growth and evolving requirements.
- Resource Allocation:
- Allocate resources efficiently, ensuring that the infrastructure can meet current and future demands.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor the performance of IT infrastructure and identify areas for improvement.
- Capacity Planning:
- Develop and implement capacity plans to ensure that the infrastructure can handle the expected workload.
- Cost Optimization:
- Helps optimize IT costs by ensuring that resources are utilized effectively and efficiently.
Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)
Must-Have
- Hands-on experience in managing the Infra Mgmt., Disaster Recovery and Capacity Mgmt.
- Experience in L3 Production Support
- Hands-on with Python Scripting
- Troubleshooting and Debugging: Investigating and resolving errors
- Flexible for shifts
Good-to-Have
- ITIL Certification or good understanding of ITIL Concepts
- Knowledge of Infra Mgmt., Disaster Recovery and Capacity Mgmt
- Python Scripting
- Good communication skill & Team Player
