Job Title: Infrastructure Engineering Senior Engineer

Position Description:
- This role is ideal for a senior-level engineer with deep expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365, along with extensive experience in designing and implementing large-scale virtual desktop infrastructures.
- The candidate will play a key role in architecting secure, scalable, and efficient virtual desktop environments tailored to business needs, driving the integration of cloud technologies, and optimizing performance and security.
- Given the responsibility for leading technical teams, creating documentation, and ensuring regulatory compliance, this position requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, a thorough understanding of enterprise IT environments, and proficiency in modern automation and cloud management tools.
Core Skills:
- Microsoft Azure: Expertise in Azure services, especially Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365.
- Virtualization Technologies: Extensive experience in designing, deploying, and managing virtual desktop infrastructures.
- Automation and Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure ARM templates, and Terraform for infrastructure-as-code and automation tasks.
- Networking & Identity Management: Strong knowledge of networking principles, Azure AD, Active Directory, and security best practices.
- Windows 11 Environments: In-depth experience with managing and optimizing Windows 11-based virtual desktops.
- Cloud Integration: Experience integrating AVD/W365 with existing cloud and on-premises systems, including security and compliance frameworks.
- Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and performance optimization tools for virtual environments.
- Migration Experience: Experience migrating from traditional desktop virtualization platforms like Citrix to AVD/W365.
- Cost Management & Cloud Optimization: Knowledge of cost optimization strategies and licensing models for virtual desktop solutions.
- Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership abilities, with experience guiding teams and stakeholders. Clear, concise documentation and training materials creation.
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty or similar certifications preferred.
