Infrastructure Engineering Senior Analyst

• Looking for a resource with Data Archival Solution.
• Need to collaborate with our internal customers to deliver an enterprise-level database archival solution.
• The candidate will architect, deploy, maintain, and monitor the data archival process.
• The candidate is responsible for setting standards, guidelines and best practices for Data Archival solution
• The candidate will help upgrading the Optim product and apply ifix provided by IBM.

Required Skills:

• 1 year of hands-on experience with IBM Optim data archival tool (Both distributed and mainframe)
• Good understanding of database Life Cycle management
• Good command of SQL for multiple relational database environments (eg, Oracle, DB2 LUW, DB2 Mainframe, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server,Teradata etc)
• End to end Optim data archive expertise( like Create Access Definition , Archive Request, Extract Request, Restore Request, DB alias configuration on multiple sources
• Generate Reports for archive requests and delete requests for audit purpose
• Experience on Unstructured data archival
• Automation skills with Python, shell script, Power Shell
• Knowledge to apply ifix for Optim when needed
• Knowledge on upgrading Optim version
• Manage and maintain Data Archival processes
• Monitor and tune data archival performance
• Create storage profiles
• Familiarity with mainframe tools like TSO, ISPF, JCL is beneficial
• Create Legal holds based on the data retention policies
• Provide insight to team leadership regarding best practices for data archival
• Setup security standards, guidelines
• Experience with cloud implementation with Data Archival
• Experience with database level encryption

Required Experience & Education:

• 3-5 years of total experience required.
• bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Sciences, or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications
