We are looking for a skilled Deployment Engineer with core expertise in VMware, Nutanix, and enterprise backup solutions like Veeam and Commvault. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering customer-centric solutions across HCI, VDI, and backup environments and is eager to take on challenging and rewarding projects.
Responsibilities
Assessment (15%):
- Run assessment tools to analyze client IT and backup environments.
- Generate reports, interpret results, and contribute to solution proposals.
- Support business teams in discussions and customer clarifications.
Design (15%):
- Assist in preparing hardware configurations and Bills of Material.
- Create High-Level and Low-Level Designs for virtualization, HCI, VDI, and backup deployments.
- Ensure design adherence to OEM best practices.
Deployment (50%):
- Deploy and configure VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, Veeam Backup, and Commvault solutions.
- Carry out fine-tuning, optimization, and validation of deployed systems.
- Conduct knowledge transfer and administer training for customers.
- Prepare comprehensive configuration and deployment documentation.
Management (10%):
- Perform regular health checks, upgrades, and proactive maintenance of deployed solutions.
- Provide ongoing support for open tickets to ensure optimum system performance.
Mentoring and Continuous Learning (10%):
- Undertake OEM certifications and continuous skill enhancement programs.
- Mentor and enable junior engineers through training sessions and on-the-job coaching.
Requirements
- 3-4 years of hands-on experience with:
- VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter deployments.
- Nutanix AHV deployments and cluster management.
- Backup and recovery solutions using Veeam and/or Commvault.
Additional Experience With
- VMware vSAN, Horizon, vROPS, vCloud Foundation, NSX, Nutanix Beam, Nutanix Frames, and cloud automation solutions.
- Strong understanding of virtualization, storage, networking, HCI, and backup strategies.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and client communication skills.
Preferred Certifications
(Certifications are not mandatory but highly valued. )
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV 6.5 or higher) or VCP-Desktop and Mobility (2020 or later).
- Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP-MCI 5.15 or higher).
- Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) or Commvault Professional Certification.
